Hello! My name is Catherine Bachy.
I’m a teacher + advisor
coach + facilitator + trainer
artist + poet
See also: mom and amateur chef.
The path that led me here has been long and winding. I spent my early years teaching in North Africa and working with the Peace Corps before returning home to study International and Adult Education. I moved to Seattle, taught, loved, and found work as the manager of the Starbucks Foundation.
In 2008, Starbucks restructured and laid off thousands of people. I was one of them. Already a certified coach, I developed my coaching practice. I earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership. I worked with leaders in Seattle’s vibrant nonprofit sector. I spent more time with my partner and daughter.
After navigating this sea of changes, I realized I had inadvertently developed a unique skill set. These moves – domestic and international – these career upheavals, these years of work with socially conscious leaders, helped me become the patient, creative facilitator that I am today. My clients even call me “wise”!
I use my hard-won wisdom to help clients find clarity + get to the heart of their concerns. My work helps clients keep their aspirations front and center + engaged with their deeper purpose. We work to find solutions that leverage the best of who they are and develop strategies to effectively manage the stress that comes with leading large, impactful organizations.
Through all the changes in my own life – Morocco to DC to Seattle, Starbucks to graduate school – there have been constants.
My desire to be of service + better the world around me
A commitment to living a life of compassion + kindness
My vision to help those who help others
